Behind the scenes at Internet Central, chapter one
I consider myself a technology junkie. I would be surprised, for example, to find someone who actually uses the Yellow Pages when twice as much information can be had in half the time online It's just so easy... as the user, that is.
I've been with Denver DataMan for exactly one week and am just beginning to find out what it takes to get the right information to the right people at the right time... and to make the user think it's easy. Thank goodness it's Friday because my brain is full!
This week I got log-in information for four different sites and was challenged to remember and use the passwords the next day. I was among nearly 100 people in a classroom learning what's behind the scenes in successfully using email marketing and social networking. I was amazed when Steve was able to simplify the options available to answer the needs of a frustrated potential client who had customer information in four different locations... I know it isn't easy on the back end... but it is a thing of beauty that it works.
