Denver DataMan Drupal Camp Followup

Drupal is a content management system that Denver DataMan uses to implement websites and online tools for our clients. Over the June 26th weekend the Drupal Camp Colorado Silver SponsorDenver DataMan team went to Drupal Camp Colorado to learn more about how to how to make the most of this exciting product. We were also there as Silver level sponsors of the event.

The following are three exciting takeaways that the DDM team thinks will be of value to you.

Drupal is a safe choice

Drupal is being used on major websites, in fact 10,000 of the world’s biggest. Two examples are the White House website and Sony MyPlay. Drupal is secure when it is configured properly. With large companies, Governments, NGOs and Nonprofits that demand high security using Drupal, the security of Drupal will only get better.

We also learned more about Drupal and credit card processing in a PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant way. Drupal conforms to the PCI standard when used properly and the proper procedures are taking into account by a developer or other technician. PCI applies to not only the software being used, like Drupal, but also the server you install the software on.

Drupal is Good for SEO

Drupal is good at optimizing content to make it accessible to Google or, as we like say, Google Food. Drupal has many tools that allow us to automate the display and delivery of content to make it optimized for Google. We also validated that we are doing the right stuff for our clients.

New Technology will do cool things

At Drupal Camp we saw many new technologies showcased that we look forward to implementing for our clients. These include making content administration easier, making better looking sites, faster sites and sites that are more secure.
