Technology in Copenhagen
I have arrived in Copenhagen and started to figure my way around the area. I am very excited about the conference and look forward for the main events tomorrow. The city is great and the Bella Center where the conference is lives up to its name.

I have seen some very cool tech things since I have been here. For example the Google landing page I get when going to Google here in Demark is automatically in Danish. I use Google Chrome (a Google web browser like Microsoft is to Internet Explorer) and it knows that my native language is English so it offers to translate the Danish page for me in to English. Facebook also offers me an oppertunity to help translate Facebbok.
Fri Internet or Free Internet on some buses and train lines is very interesting to me. The capital investment to make this happen
must have been rather great. I also think it says something about the needs of the city. When I went to the mall there were many computer stores. I am not sure of anything else about technology in Copenhagen.
Copenhagen is working to be a green city in many ways. The Bella Center, at the venue for Drupalcon, gets power from a wind turbine. The power in my hotel room for lights and wall outlets only work if your room key is in a reader on the wall, better get a battery for that alarm clock. All of these are small, viable steps that can make Copenhagen greener and more efficient.
Tomorrow is the start of the conference and I am very excited. I look forward to sharing with you in this blog, on Twitter with @denverdataman and @steveddm and through future programs offered by Denver DataMan.
