When we think about the Internet, and especially the social Internet, we have to think about privacy and security. We place tons of information out on the Internet and trust that the security settings we select will protect us. Recently I wrote about using social network sites to sign on to other sites  and many people questioned the security of this and asked me to write about privacy and security.

Social media is a field of crops that the populous is harvesting in order to suit their needs and appetite for personal and professional connections. Businesses are cultivating these crops in advantageous ways to better connect with others and gather followers in order to reap the benefits, creating a cornucopia of knowledge.

I consider myself a technology junkie. I would be surprised, for example, to find someone who actually uses the Yellow Pages when twice as much information can be had in half the time online It's just so easy... as the user, that is.

I've been with Denver DataMan for exactly one week and am just beginning to find out what it takes to get the right information to the right people at the right time... and to make the user think it's easy. Thank goodness it's Friday because my brain is full!

I was going to write this as though shall but I decided that the first commandment applied to both technology and conventions of language.
